No. 115 – January 5, 2012

A CONFESSION

I have to be honest.  I have taken a lot of heat from readers who think I am being too ” I told you so,” in my predictions – and in referring to them at later dates as to their accuracy.  So, I decided to wait until after the Iowa “caucus” to write this first newsletter of 2012.

I was honestly hoping that Rick Santorum would win – and I could finally say, “Well, I was wrong.”  But it didn’t happen – and it was never going to happen.

Sometimes it is too easy to “see” what is going on.  Yes, it is that obvious – if you choose to read. listen, understand and get involved.  If you don’t, you won’t.  It is as simple as that.

Enough of the obvious.  As I see it, here is where we stand at the moment:

1.  Romney will win the GOP nomination.  Then the REAL question is, who will be his running mate.

Romney cannot pick Huntsman, Gingrich, Santorum or any of the other “candidates.”

Chris Christie, Marco Rubio and a few other names keep popping up.

But if Romney picks Scott Brown – he might have a chance.  But I do not think the GOP would go for that because the Evngelical Element simply would not allow it.  And, if that were to happen, the Evangelicals would stay home and pout – as they have done to the detriment of the country in the past – and Obama would be swept to a second term.

2.  If Romney tries to “hit” Obama on the economy – it would be a colossal mistake.  Obama is going to portray the economy as coming back – albeit very slowly.

And that is what I predict will actually happen.  The economy is coming back, but at a crippled, snail’s pace.  But it is coming back.

Housing is finally starting to at least slow down in its steep decline.

Unemployment will “tick” down in the coming months.  The economy is NOT the way to defeat Obama.  It is only PART of the equation.

3.  Romney must focus direct attention to the International arena – and with emphasis on NATIONAL SECURITY.  Obama is very weak in this department and can be “hit” from this angle.

Also, Romney should spell out a SIMPLE tax reform that would knock the legs out from under Obama.  Not simply say to REFORM the tax code – but spell out a workable solution in black and white – for everybody to see – and understand.

Romney should raise the question of abolishing the FED.  It has done nothing but padd its own pockets – while making everybody else pick up the tab.

Finally, Romeny should not even mention Obamacare.  If he does, then he is doubly sunk.  The farther away he positions himself from healthcare, the better.

But, I predict again, that Romney does not have the where-with-all to step this far out on a limb. The  GOP is even less inclined to show this type of leadership.

As for Obama:

1.  President Obama is going to keep pounding the “Rich v. Poor” class warfare as we approach 2012.  It is working, and the American people are just dumb enough to buy into it – especially those who are on the receiving end of all the “free” entitlements.

2.  President Obama will also keep throwing out the race card – from time to time – through his proxies working on his campaign reelection committee – not to mention his “Justice Department.”

3.  Obama will keep up the rhetoric with regard to Iran – as predicted in earlier editions – and will use that as a pretext to military action – if the situation presents itself.

4.  Obama will tout the change in direction of the economy to an upward trend – as predicted before – and will plead for just “four more years” to “save” America.

The International Scene:

Countries throughout the Middle East realize that Obama is a weak leader.  As I write, the Middle East is in a shambles.

Syria is falling apart.  Egypt is “recognizing” terrorist groups to sit in their government – again as predicted.

Iran is already infiltrating the borders of Iraq (according to very reliable resources) and Israel is preparing for war – “just in case Obama backs down again.”

Africa is a mess, China is making SERIOUS moves to counter the American Naval presence in Asia – and Russia is salivating at the prospect of four more years of a President who insists on leading “from behind.”

A SURPRISE IS COMING

Remember, we are dealing with the Chicago Political Mob, when we talk about the present occupiers of the White House.

To make this point perfectly clear, have you heard anything about more Toyota cars being recalled?  Maybe even one?  Of course not.  Japan clearly noted that they should pay the “hush money” and get on with business.

Extortion is one of the main cogs of any criminal organization.

How about GM and the money it got from the taxpayers?  Did anybody actually get a rebate check in the mail?  And what about the Volt – and their battery problems?  GM is a fiasco in the making – and it will cost US Taxpayers even more money in the future.  But, that is a prediction for another time.

And then we have Jon Corzine (a huge Obama supporter and personal friend) saying, “I have no idea where the BILLION dollars went.”  Imagine, a CEO of any corporation saying something this this insidious – and getting away with it.  The Media is mum on this one.  And another prediction – Corzine will NOT go to jail.  Criminals take care of their own.

Please bear in mind that Obama has privy to a bankroll to reelect him that would choke an Elephant (the GOP) let alone a horse.

Obama is the incumbent – and once the DNC finds out who their opponent is – they will unleash the Media with a ferocity that will astonish even the most seasoned political observers.

And Obama has a few more plays that he can put into action.

He could very well solidify his election by easing Joe Biden aside, having the VP say he wanted to spend more time with the family.  This is always a crock of garbage – but in these PC times who would dare challenge any person for wanting to spend more “quality time” with the family?

Then he could insert Hillary as his VP and sew up his reelection in one political masterstroke.

I am not sure if this will happen, because I still believe she is in play for 2012.  She is just biding her time to see who the GOP contender will be.

And the longer this GOP political charade keeps going – the stronger Obama becomes – and the weaker Hillary Clinton’s chances will be.

But the real twist to this whole “operation” is that IF Romney actually starts to take Obama apart on his foreign policy – National Defense – and his “leading from the rear” – the President still holds the option of a “first strike capability” on Iran – in October.

Then he says, “With reference to National Security, and for the protection of our good friends in Israel, we have launched a “strategic attack” on Iran’s nuclear facilities.  We must continue to defend Democracy whenever the case arises.  After all, we are the leaders of the Free World.”

Who the hell is going to disagree with that kind of argument?

But look closer.  You notice that Obama will now call Israel a good friend, thus solidifying his Democratic Jewish Base – just in time for the 2012 Election.

And bear in mind, the 5th Fleet is well within range of Iran.  You do not move in the big artillery into position just on a whim.  It takes time to position huge ships for battle – and the logistics needed to support that type of operation.

Obama knows exactly what he is doing.  Short-change this man at your own peril.

OBAMA IS A “ONE-TERM” PRESIDENT

I think that the next person that says this to me is going to get hurt.

NOTHING could be further from the truth.

I will say it again.  If ANYBODY believes this, then they should pack up their bags, sell the house and move to another country, ASAP.

Obama is going to be EXTREMELY hard to beat.  And it is even more so, my humble opinion, that he will win in 2012 – by a landslide – if things don’t change – and change FAST.

SO WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

I hear this all the time.  My answer is a simple Maxim that I have employed from time to time:

“I do, because I will.”

Since this is the New Year, I thought I would end this portion of The American Telegraph with a few suggestion as to what you should do.

1.  Find out who your Congressional AND Senatorial GOP candidates are and GO DOWN to their Headquarters and VOLUNTEER 10 hours a week to defeating their opponents.

2.  Also, find out who your STATE Senatorial and Legislative Representatives are and GO DOWN to their Headquarters and VOLUNTEER 5 hours a week to defeating their opponents.

3.  Volunteer to go door-to-door, hand out literature, open your house to have “coffees” for the candidates in your area, offer to lick stamps, fold and stuff envelopes, run errands, drive around the neighborhood honking your horns with BIG signs on your cars, wear campaign buttons, talk to people in stores, at your workplace – and on the streets.

4.  In other words, get off your lazy ass – VOLUNTEER and GET PHYSICALLY INVOLVED.

5.  And for crying out loud, vote for whoever the GOP candidate is in November – and don’t sit at home to “teach the GOP a lesson.”  Now is not the time to act like a spoiled brat.  Now it the time to act for America.

I know, most of you will have a plethora of excuses not to do any of the above.  And that is the difference between those who “do” and those who “don’t.”

I submit to you, if every reader would do what I have suggested above, Obama and his minions can be defeated in 2012.  But if you choose not to get involved then it is only one person’s fault – YOURS.

I speak from actual experience.  I know how much it costs – in both time and money – to get involved.  Running for Congress was a real toll on my own life and personal fortune.  But it was one of the best experiences that I have ever had the pleasure to go through.

At least I can say, with pride, that I gave it my best shot.  And I am still trying.

I hope you will make this your 2012 NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION:

Get POLITICALLY INVOLVED in 2012 to defeat those who now occupy the Executive Branch of OUR Government – and in so doing revive America for the sake of WE THE PEOPLE.

WE may not get another chance.  It is up to YOU.

BEGINNING OF ARTICLE NUMBER II

Below, is a continuation of the United States Constitution, beginning with Section 1.  In the next edition we will continue with Section 2.

Article. II.

Section. 1.The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows:

Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.

The Electors shall meet in their respective States, and vote by Ballot for two Persons, of whom one at least shall not be an Inhabitant of the same State with themselves. And they shall make a List of all the Persons voted for, and of the Number of Votes for each; which List they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the Seat of the Government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate. The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted. The Person having the greatest Number of Votes shall be the President, if such Number be a Majority of the whole Number of Electors appointed; and if there be more than one who have such Majority, and have an equal Number of Votes, then the House of Representatives shall immediately chuse by Ballot one of them for President; and if no Person have a Majority, then from the five highest on the List the said House shall in like Manner chuse the President. But in chusing the President, the Votes shall be taken by States, the Representation from each State having one Vote; a quorum for this Purpose shall consist of a Member or Members from two thirds of the States, and a Majority of all the States shall be necessary to a Choice. In every Case, after the Choice of the President, the Person having the greatest Number of Votes of the Electors shall be the Vice President. But if there should remain two or more who have equal Votes, the Senate shall chuse from them by Ballot the Vice President [Modified by Amendment XII].

The Congress may determine the Time of chusing the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States.

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

In Case of the Removal of the President from Office, or of his Death, Resignation, or Inability to discharge the Powers and Duties of the said Office, the Same shall devolve on the Vice President, and the Congress may by Law provide for the Case of Removal, Death, Resignation or Inability, both of the President and Vice President, declaring what Officer shall then act as President, and such Officer shall act accordingly, until the Disability be removed, or a President shall be elected [Modified by Amendment XXV].

The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be increased nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the United States, or any of them.

Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation: — “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

GET TO WORK
