THE “SUPER COMMITTEE”

“The money power preys upon the nation in time of peace and conspires against it in times of adversity.  It is more despotic than monarchy, more insolent that autocracy, more selfish than bureaucracy.  I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me, and causes me to tremble for the safety of our country.  Corporations have been enthroned, an era of corruption will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people, until the wealth is aggregated in the hands of a few, and the republic is destroyed.”

Abraham Lincoln

How prescient, the 16th President of the United States, so as to see this coming – over 100 years ago!

Not only is this “Super Committee” an illegal group of hand-picked members from both parties, it is also a very dangerous precedent to establish – for in setting up such a “group” it circumvents the rest of the members of Congress (The House of Representatives and the Senate) – and in doing so the will of, WE THE PEOPLE.

So why is no one even raising this question?

Simply because we, as a Nation of free-loving individuals, are now willing to delegate our Constitutional Rights to a “chosen few” as Lincoln predicted would happen.

As to my understanding of the Constitution – ALL members of Congress are to make financial decisions regarding the allocation of taxes that are derived from the citizenry – not just a small, elite group of individuals.

If I am right in my interpretation of the Law of the Land – then this group, dubbed the “Super Committee,” is the first step in the usurpation of the entire American Constitution.

So what the hell is going on – right under our noses?

To be honest, we are headed toward an oligarchy – if we are not there already.

(ŏl’ĭ-gär’kē, ō’lĭ-)
n.pl., -chies.

    1. Government by a few, especially by a small faction of persons or families.
    2. Those making up such a government.
  1. A state governed by a few persons.

oligarchic ol’i·gar’chic or ol’i·garchi·cal adj.

I am appalled at the fact that NOT ONE NEWS MEDIA outlet has even broached this encroachment on our civil liberties.

This is NOT a question of Republican or Democratic ideology.  This is a statement of fact.

What is even more alarming is that if this “group” does not come up with a solution to our financial dilemma, in just a few short days, then draconian cuts will automatically start to take place.

SO WHAT DOES THIS ACTUALLY MEAN?

It means that NO ONE will be held responsible for the “group” if it fails to come up with a financial solution.

The Republicans will blame the Democrats and the Democrats will blame the Republicans.

But in reality, they are ALL to blame for willingly relinquishing their solemn duty to serve in the capacity to which they were elected.

Yet, NOT ONE Senator or Congressman has even mentioned this fact.

Once this type of  “Super Committee” can be set up for the budget making policies of our Country – then other “Super Committees” can be set up for more nefarious political objectives.

Please bear in mind that we are not only in a political crisis, but also a Constitutional crisis as well.

We have one last HOPE left to us – with regard to the United States Constitution.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

The “Super Committee” that is now deciding how our tax money will be spent, is simply a “test case.”  And so far, the Oligarchy Government of America is very satisfied with the results.

As the “Wall Street Protestors” are running rampant in the streets – our elected “representatives” have completely wilted in the face of this TOTALLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL establishment (precedent setting) of a small group of people making the rules as to how, and where, the taxpayers’ money is to be allocated.

Folks – this is AGAINST THE LAW.  ALL of Congress – both Houses – have reneged on their elected responsibility.

Our last HOPE is, none other, than the United States Supreme Court.

That statement may surprise you – until you consider what they are about to do.

In a few months, the Court will decide whether “Obamacare” is legal or illegal.  In other words, Constitutional or Unconstitutional.

This case is of “Supreme” importance – not just for the continued existence of “Obamacare” – but in reality, our Rights as Sovereign Individuals.

If the Supreme Court AGREES with the Oligarchy Government that is now in power – then all HOPE is lost.

And if that is the case – then there is little HOPE left – other than armed Revolution.

IS IT REALLY THAT IMPORTANT?

If you consider that the Constitution is an important document – then YES, it is that important.

However, if you think the Constitution is just a piece of paper, then it is not important at all.

Consider what has taken place:

Obama has designated a “Super Committee” to determine how our taxes are to be spent.

The Supreme Court is now to decide where WE THE PEOPLE are to spend our money.

Is this making sense to any readers?  Can you see what is going on here?

If the “Super Committee” is allowed to DICTATE where our taxes go and if the Supreme Court actually says that Americans MUST buy a certain product – then we are, to put it simply, living under a DICTATORSHIP directed by a Government Oligarchy.

BUT THE COURT IS NOT OUR LAST RESORT!

You read that right.  The Supreme Court is NOT our last resort.

Our LAST RESORT is the SECOND AMENDMENT to that most Sacred Document – the Constitution of the United States of America.

And it is for THIS reason that our Founding Fathers made the RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS – so as to be able to ENFORCE the proper implementation of the Constitution – if the need ever arose.

And this is precisely why the Oligarchy Government of the United States is trying to take away the right to keep and bear arms.

Please remember, our Founding Fathers were more concerned with tyranny from WITHIN – not from the outside.

And the constant assault on WE THE PEOPLES’ right to own private firearms will, once again, come to the forefront – IF the Supreme Court rules in favor of forcing Americans to buy something that they do not want or need.

For if the Oligarchy Government of the United States can force you to purchase Obamacare, then that opens the floodgates – a precedent will be set – so that the Oligarchy Government can make WE THE PEOPLE INVOLUNTARILY RELINQUISH OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS.

When that happens – Armed Revolution will take place in America.

A “WELL-REGULATED MILITIA”

(mə-lĭsh’ə) pronunciation
n.

  1. An army composed of ordinary citizens rather than professional soldiers.
  2. A military force that is not part of a regular army and is subject to call for service in an emergency.
  3. The whole body of physically fit civilians eligible by law for military service.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this definition speaks volumes as to exactly what our Founding Fathers were talking about.

It is direct, simple – and to the point.

THE SECOND AMENDMENT

As passed by the Congress:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

As ratified by the States and authenticated by Thomas Jefferson, Secretary of State:

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.[8]

This leaves no doubt that WE THE PEOPLE are the “WELL REGULATED MILITIA” – being necessary to the security of a free State – the United States of America.

This, my friends, is truly our LAST GREAT HOPE.

We can only wait and see what will happen.  Let’s hope the Supreme Court will rule AGAINST Obamacare.

YOUR PREDICTIONS ARE NOT ALL CORRECT!

I have heard this complaint from time to time – and it is true.  The person who made this accusation was very angry at me for a few of my predictions that went awry.

So I challenged her to go back through all of my previous AMERICAN TELEGRAPH EDITIONS and actually count the ones I got right – and the ones that I completely blew.

She never got back in touch with me.

So, I invite any reader, who has the time and patience, to go back and actually tally up the ones I got correct and the ones in which I was wrong.  I think you will find out that I am batting around 75%.  That is just a guess – so anyone who wants to check it out is more than welcome to do so.

A FEW MORE PREDICTIONS

I will make these short and sweet – without any substantiation whatsoever.

1.  The “Super Committee” will come up with a “last minute” compromise – that no one will be happy with – and which will only be temporary in nature.

2.  The Supreme Court will rule against the mandatory dictation that forces everybody to buy “Obamacare” BUT will uphold other parts of the “Obamacare” package as “Constitutional” thus keeping everybody “happy.”

3.  Obama will be reelected in 2012 if either Romney or “Newt” is put forth as the GOP standard bearer.

4.  Obama will buttress his case for reelection by saying the following:  “I told you it would take a long time to get out of this INHERITED situation that BUSH left us in; unemployment IS going down, although slower than we had anticipated; businesses are again showing signs of strength – and in FOUR MORE YEARS we will be well on our way to TOTAL ECONOMIC RECOVERY.

5.  If Newt Gingrich is the GOP nomination, a lot of people think he will tear Obama apart in any debate format.  But, I feel that Obama will simply say, “I am too busy running the country to bother with any debates.”  In other words, Obama will simply not agree to any debates with Gingrich. After all, Obama IS the president – and there is no law that says he must debate anybody.

It is not President Obama that I fear.

It is the stupid, gullible people who voted for him the first time around that scare me.  They have become so self-centered, so demanding of their ENTITLEMENTS, and so unwilling to take care of themselves and DEPENDENT on the Oligarchy Government to FEED, HOUSE AND CLOTHE them, that they will vote for Obama AGAIN – as a matter of basic survival.

JAPAN – THEN AND NOW

As most of you know, I spent over 25 years living and working in Japan.

During that time I grew to not only love Japan – but I learned to trust and admire the Japanese people as well.

When the horrific earthquake, tsunami and nuclear meltdown happened it literally made my wife and me sick.  But I knew that, through it all, the Japanese people would survive, pull themselves together, as they have always done in the past, and emerge from this catastrophe stronger than ever before.

I made a prediction that Japan would recover and, once again, remake itself.

I even went so far as to state that Japan would recover quicker than the survivors of Katrina.

This statement drew “outrage” from some readers – and subscription cancellations to boot.

So, instead of me telling you how strong and resilient – and SELF-SUSTAINING – the Japanese people are, I have decided to include the two sites below – and let you judge for yourselves as to the stamina, faith and WORK ETHIC of the Japanese people themselves.

We in America – and Katrina – should take note and learn from our Japanese cousins.

Their recovery, in so short a time span, is truly remarkable.

JAPAN – Ganbatte kudasai!

I will continue with my series presentation of the United States Constitution with the next edition of THE AMERICAN TELEGRAPH.  Some have written that they were worried that I was not going to keep it going.  To the contrary, it will be finished, I promise.

Until then, keep thinking positive and HOPE for Change in 2012.

  • Dick Bachert Says:

Larry, As regards your comments concerning the militia, I offer Mr. Madison’s words from Federalist Paper No. 46:

But ambitious encroachments of the federal government, on the authority of the State governments, would not excite the opposition of a single State, or of a few States only. They would be signals of general alarm. Every government would espouse the common cause. A correspondence would be opened. Plans of resistance would be concerted. One spirit would animate and conduct the whole. The same combinations, in short, would result from an apprehension of the federal, as was produced by the dread of a foreign, yoke; and unless the projected innovations should be voluntarily renounced, the same appeal to a trial of force would be made in the one case as was made in the other. But what degree of madness could ever drive the federal government to such an extremity. In the contest with Great Britain, one part of the empire was employed against the other. The more numerous part invaded the rights of the less numerous part. The attempt was unjust and unwise; but it was not in speculation absolutely chimerical. But what would be the contest in the case we are supposing? Who would be the parties? A few representatives of the people would be opposed to the people themselves; or rather one set of representatives would be contending against thirteen sets of representatives, with the whole body of their common constituents on the side of the latter.

The only refuge left for those who prophesy the downfall of the State governments is the visionary supposition that the federal government may previously accumulate a military force for the projects of ambition. The reasonings contained in these papers must have been employed to little purpose indeed, if it could be necessary now to disprove the reality of this danger. That the people and the States should, for a sufficient period of time, elect an uninterupted succession of men ready to betray both; that the traitors should, throughout this period, uniformly and systematically pursue some fixed plan for the extension of the military establishment; that the governments and the people of the States should silently and patiently behold the gathering storm, and continue to supply the materials, until it should be prepared to burst on their own heads, must appear to every one more like the incoherent dreams of a delirious jealousy, or the misjudged exaggerations of a counterfeit zeal, than like the sober apprehensions of genuine patriotism. Extravagant as the supposition is, let it however be made. Let a regular army, fully equal to the resources of the country, be formed; and let it be entirely at the devotion of the federal government; still it would not be going too far to say, that the State governments, with the people on their side, would be able to repel the danger. The highest number to which, according to the best computation, a standing army can be carried in any country, does not exceed one hundredth part of the whole number of souls; or one twenty-fifth part of the number able to bear arms. This proportion would not yield, in the United States, an army of more than twenty-five or thirty thousand men. To these would be opposed a militia amounting to near half a million of citizens with arms in their hands, officered by men chosen from among themselves, fighting for their common liberties, and united and conducted by governments possessing their affections and confidence. It may well be doubted, whether a militia thus circumstanced could ever be conquered by such a proportion of regular troops. Those who are best acquainted with the last successful resistance of this country against the British arms, will be most inclined to deny the possibility of it. Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached, and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of.

We’re getting close. Very, very close!

  • John Says:

Well, another great oratory; but who is this message really getting too?

If it did, would they understand, and would they do anything. Protesting in the parks…what a bunch of screwed up people, go protest to the elected people, make them accountable. Until the people learn to make them accountable, nothing will work, great words will not work unless people read, understand and respond.

So I say, when are you going to get on Letterman to promote your American Telegraph? Maybe better yet, put all this into a book of Predictions. Make some money to support the American Telegraph!

    Breakfast?

  • Brian Smith Says:

We have become a nation of whiners and feeders at the government trough. This is no accident as a dependency electorate is the carefully -cultivated aim of the Democratic Party. The more people think govt. will satisfy their wants (not needs) the more they will entrench themselves on the govt “plantation” and the more automatic their vote to prolong power for those dispersing the spoils of the labor of others. Obama said when elected that he didn’t believe in slavery reparations. However he is achieving same by the back door of wealth redistribution to the chosen.
The aim of true Americans is equal opportunity. That of Obama and the “Alinsky” left is equal outcomes. This is not what We The People is all about

  • joe winstead Says:

    Hello Larry-

I salute the Japanese people for their work ethic and devotion to country. Americans should take a lesson here and also dedicate their selves to country and Emperor Obama. But to call the Japanese self sufficient is maybe a little disingenuous.

Not only do they import 40% of their food (in spite of their undying devotion to eradicate the world’s whale population) they also import about 70% of their energy requirements, in the form of oil and coal.

They also rely on Uncle Sam for the defense of their homeland, thereby saving billions of tax dollars (OK, yen), on military expenditures. Yet their largest trading partner is China – can’t criticize loyalty now, can we?

If this is your idea of self sufficient, maybe we need to wake up and smell the noodles. I was going to say kim chi, but it’s waaay too late for that one.

    Regards,
    Joe
