I WAS WRONG

In my last edition, I thought that I would anger a lot of Evangelicals who read THE AMERICAN TELEGRAPH.

Well, I was wrong.  I had only a handful of people who cancelled their subscription.  In fact, I got a few private e-mails complimenting me on telling the truth about them – and their cancerous influence on the GOP.  And these people were Evangelicals themselves.  Yes, there still is hope.

On the same note, I would like to welcome all the new readers that have signed up in the past week.  We now have over 5,000 people on our mailing list.  Not all that big, but we are continually growing just the same.

Many thanks again to all of you who write – both privately and on the blog.  I encourage you all to take part in the blog to help share information – and to extend the learning experience of all of us.

As you know, the subscription to THE AMERICAN TELEGRAPH is free of charge – so please take advantage and submit anything that you might think important in the blog section – so long as it is in good taste and not spam.

Just make sure you have proofread what you submit – because that is the way it will appear.

“FROM MY COLD, DEAD HANDS”

By now, everyone is familiar with the above quote by Charlton Heston, former president of the NRA.

Thanks to new subscriber, Thomas Towne, for sending in the following information.  I thought it would be appropriate to list a few facts – just so our readers can get a better picture of what is actually happening in America these days.

WORLD’S LARGEST ARMY

According to recent statistics, the World’s Largest Army is America’s Hunters.

Apparently, a blogger added up the deer license sales in just a small number of states and arrived at a very interesting conclusion.

There were over 600,000 deer hunting licenses issued this season in the state of Wisconsin.

If this is actually true, then this would put Wisconsin hunters as the eighth largest army in the world.

More men under arms than in Iran.  More than France and Germany combined.

These men went into the woods of Wisconsin to hunt – and not a single person was killed.

In Pennsylvania there are approximately 750,000, and Michigan has around 700,000 hunters.

These are just a few of the states that have well-armed and well-trained individuals who are very knowledgeable about KEEPING AND BEARING ARMS.

Therefore, all those who wish to outlaw our Right to Keep and Bear Arms, had better think again, before trying to repeal the Second Amendment to our Constitution.

As Ratified by the States:

“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

It seems to me that the law-abiding hunters of the United States of America are a very well-regulated militia in their own right.

The first order of a tyrant is to disarm the populace.

Remember, the Second Amendment was passed to insure that the rest of the United States Constitution would be upheld.

And for all those Liberals who so piously proclaimed how the “Middle East Spring” was so peaceful – just start to count the dead that are littering the streets all over that region of the world, as I write.

Governments that kill their own people should not be allowed to govern.

I have also heard many Liberals proclaiming that the people are rising up against their totalitarian regimes in a “peaceful” manner.

They conveniently forget that those very same people have lived under dictatorships for the PAST FORTY YEARS, have put up with torture, rampant crime and unbridled corruption, rape, murder and pillage – by their OWN GOVERNMENTS.

If they would have had the right to Keep and Bear Arms, then maybe they would have revolted long before now.

Please remember, the brave Russian People stopped the Germany onslaught with pitchforks and shovels – simply because Stalin had previously confiscated all of their guns.

Gun control is NOT about controlling guns – it is ALL ABOUT controlling WE THE PEOPLE.

There are a number of movements, on the International Level, to ban the private ownership of guns.  This movement must be stopped now, or else we stand to lose one of our most important gifts that was given to us by our Founding Fathers.

In essence, the Second Amendment is what sets America apart from the rest of the world.

Please remember, this Amendment was passed to protect us NOT from invading foreign forces – but from our OWN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

Our Founding Fathers knew full well what happens when the total populace is forcibly disarmed.  The People become the victims of the State.

“From my cold, dead hands.”

WHAT ABOUT SWITZERLAND?

I have heard this argument so many times that it now just produces nothing more than a faint smile.

But for those of you out there that are still laboring under the misconception that the Swiss are armed to protect themselves – I offer a differing point of view.

Switzerland has, for hundreds of years, been the storehouse of wealth for the MONARCHIES of Europe.

Switzerland is in the middle of Europe – and is considered the PRIVATE BANK – for all the “Old” Money families – and Royalty – throughout Europe – not to mention the rest of the World.

During World War I, all the monarchies and influential families got together and determined that they needed a “SAFE HOUSE” in which they could hoard all of their ill-gotten gains throughout the centuries.

EVERYBODY AGREED – and thus Switzerland was designated by the rich and famous – to be OFF LIMITS for any Nation State to attack.

It was set aside as a place of safe-keeping; and it is still functioning in that capacity to this very day.

The Royal Families of World War I stored their diamonds and gold there.

The Royal Families – and various dictators – during World War II hid all of their stolen loot in secret vaults in Switzerland.

Adolph Hitler, along with Joseph Stalin and Benito Mussolini hoarded all of their riches in secret vaults.

But it does not stop there.

Every dictator, thug and miscreant worth his salt, has secret deals with the Swiss Banking System.

The Communist Chinese top echelon has BILLIONS of dollars worth of gold stored there, along with much of China’s wealth of historical artifacts to boot.

Every henchman from Iran, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, North Korea, Vietnam – not to mention the uber-rich right here in America – have a huge stake in keeping Switzerland safe.

So, Switzerland, with its “armed populace” is armed for a reason – to protect the rich and privileged classes wealth – throughout the World.

Please don’t be fooled for a second into thinking that the Swiss people are armed for self-protection.  Their first and foremost duty is to protect the borders of Switzerland – and in so doing protect the assets of the minority ultra-rich for the foreseeable future.

If this were not the case – then please explain to me why Switzerland has managed to remain NEUTRAL throughout BOTH World War I and World War II.

And it will remain as such during World War III – because there is one thing that the privileged few all agree upon – and that is the protection and preservation of their wealth.

And the only way to protect your wealth, land, and well-being is to be properly armed.

ALERT TO ALL MILITARY VETERANS

Thanks to three friends of mine, I am now signed up with the Veterans Administration and able to receive healthcare.

Over the last few years EVERYTHING has changed, and almost all Veterans are now able to receive medical and dental care at a very reduced rate.

If you have been denied before because of income, dates of service, or for any other reason, I suggest that you get in touch with your local Veterans Administration and apply for medical and dental coverage.  You are probably eligible for this service and don’t even know it.

The medical attention that the military affords its service men and women is top notch, very cheap and totally trustworthy.

I urge all American Veterans to apply – or re-apply – if you were previously denied coverage for any reason.

I was told that many older Veterans are now passing on, and that the funds for medical services to remaining Veterans are now building up again, thus the recent changes to the law.

The only problem is, most Veterans don’t know about this change because it is not being advertised.

If you are a Veteran, make sure to check this out.  I am glad I did.

A SALUTE TO DANNIE LEWIS JOHNSON

When I was in Vietnam, we had what was referred to as R&R.

I put in for mine and was waiting for a couple of months before it came through.

Many soldiers at Headquarters, where I was stationed, volunteered to go on recon patrol at night to help the soldiers in our A and B team outposts.

My patrol assignment had come up at the same time that my R&R papers finally came through.

A friend of mine, Dannie Johnson, came by my hutch and said he would pull my patrol for me so I could take R&R.  He said I could pull his when I came back from Thailand.

The outpost at A-502 was relatively safe so we agreed on the switch and got it OKed by our Company Commander.

While I was in Bangkok, Thailand, enjoying myself, Dannie and all the other Special Forces troops, along with the Vietnamese Soldiers on assignment were killed in an all-out attack on the camp.  Dannie was killed in my place.

To this day – and especially on Memorial Day – I think of him.

This is to say thank you, Dannie, for your ultimate service to our country.  I owe you my life.

And we ALL owe our lives to the men and women who have served, are serving – and especially those who have given the ultimate sacrifice – in the defense of freedom around the world.

Without our United States Military – we would not be the United States of America.

Happy Memorial Day.

Keep thinking positive.

Only 530 days until November 6, 2012.

Best wishes,

Strange coincidence, I was watching a documentry on Hugh Hefner. He made a statement way back in the mid sixties that the GOP was allowing the envangelical to influence the parties policies. Seems Mr. Klepinger is right on about that point. Two long of a time for that to be the best course for a political party. They need to focus on the needs of people!!

And, thanks Lawerence for helping keep us free!!

  • Buru-chan Says:

Concur as usual! If anyone missed it, I suggest they watch the interview on 60 minutes yesterday with SSgt Garcia (?), the recent recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor. His humility, total honesty, and love for his fellow service member came through in a way that can only be described as incredibly uplifting, a powerful statement of what remains great about our nation. On this Memorial Day, I wanted to thank all of those who have been in harms way in defense of this country, especially those who have paid the ultimate price. May we NEVER FORGET THEM, and actively seek to remind future generations about their service and the heart that drove them to defend a nation they loved!

Larry, thanks for another great bit of insight into how the world works. I remember when Clinton was president and Vince Foster mysteriously ended up dead in Fort Marcy Park. There was media chatter about him making periodic trips to Switzerland. At the time I thought he was probably performing bag-man duties. You are correct — the thing a government, including that of the U.S., fears most is an informed and armed populace. Well, it’s done a great job of ensuring Americans are poorly informed about the truth, and has been diligently working on the “armed” part. The government’s hijacking of the educational system and the mainstream media has ensured most American’s have no idea about the truth anymore. Thanks, again, for all the hard work you put into keeping your subscribers and faithful readers informed. Those who read your information and then cancel their free subscription based on something you’ve presented are the government’s prized students. Keep up the great work.

    Larry,

I’ll always be proud of you for so many things, but your service to this country is at the top of the list. Thank you!

    Your brother,
    Dave

    LARRY,

Thanks for your support of our precious 2nd Amendment rights for which so many men have given their all, to protect.

I am happy your brother Bob, referred me to your website.

On this Memorial Day, I join proud Americans across this great country to honor the many whose courage and willingness to serve and sacrifice have given the lifelong blessings of freedom we have and continue to enjoy.

I remember and honor my father, my hero, with deep love and gratitude — especially on this day. He came to the United States as a teenager from Italy, not speaking a word of English. With dedication he studied hard and became a citizen and served with the US Army 104th combat infantry division (Timberwolves) in France, Germany, Belgium and Holland.(http://www.104infdiv.org/). Papa flew his American flag outside his house every day, always wore his flag lapel pin on his suit jacket, and lived each day in gratitude and pride for his adopted country.

About 10 years ago I went with my dad and a group of his fellow aging Timberwolves on a private “Return to the Battlefield” tour. One of our stops was in Nordhausen, Germany to re-visit the site of the Mittlebau Dora Concentration Camp that the Timberwolves liberated. My father never forgot the horrors they found in the camp and had photos of the mountains of emaciated bodies piled like skeletal cordwood, which he had tucked away in a locked box in his closet. He would never allow my mother to cook lamb in our house, because the smell unlocked memories of what the Timberwolves found when then entered the nightmare of Nordhausen.

To all these brave men who defended freedom and fought against tyranny in WW I and WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, and in the Middle East, I salute you and express my heartfelt gratitude. To those whose lives were changed by their battlefield experiences and those who served in any capacity and have remained Great Americans, you are greatly appreciated. On this Memorial Day, let us remember well.

    Papa, rest peacefully.

    Taps:

    Go to sleep, peaceful sleep,
    May the soldier or sailor,
    God keep.
On the land or the deep,
    Safe in sleep.

    Hello Larry-
Thanks for a great article – and a great laugh over the ‘brave Russian people’ that stopped the Nazi Panzers with pitchforks.
It was actually the Russian winter, and about 30,000 Russian T-34 tanks that turned the tide.
But anyway you cut it – it still makes for a good story.
Me, I have a large assortment of various firearms at hand.
And I actually do have a pitchfork in my garage.
    Just in case.

  • Nancy Says:

Personally, I subscribe to God, family, country. With our Creator comes the inalienable rights of Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness. If it is okay to kill one individual/group of people for convenience, it is okay to kill any individual/group of people (as seen in last century’s Germany/USSR,etc.) for whatever reason “man” deems okay. Liberty(right to choose), and Pursuit of Happiness (right to property, both physical and mental-conscience) are mute points if Life is not protected.

I put family before country because I think we leave family to fight for “our” country (whose government is based on the biblical principles of the right to Life, Liberty, and Property) to keep our “rights secure. I would not leave family to fight for a socialistic/communistic/totalitarian country(government) where people have “no” rights and whose value is based on their usefulness to said gov. officials. Remember the millions that Stalin slaughtered.
