No. 88 – May 18, 2011

LOOKING AHEAD

This past week has been hectic to say the least.

I won’t go into what has been happening in the way of all the news that has been coming out.  It would just be redundant and a waste of time.

What I want to do today is hit a number of points as they come to mind and let you, the reader, decide for yourself.

VERY FEW TAKERS – IN FACT, ONLY ONE

As for my offer of a wager on the GOP winning the White House in 2012, I have only ONE taker – and he wishes to remain anonymous at this time ($50).

I found this somewhat interesting.  Many on the “right” are vehement in their belief that Obama is a “one-term” president – yet none of these people were willing to put their money up.

I learned, a long time ago, that if you “follow the money” or make a person “put his money where his mouth is” the conversation usually comes to an abrupt end.

So, as we go forth, the GOP is still in a state of disarray – or is it?

The lightweight contenders are falling by the wayside.

I predict that Newt will be done by summer – if not earlier.

Michele Bachmann will not be in the running.

Mitt Romney will not be the GOP pick, nor will Rick Santorum.

ROPE-A-DOPE POLITICS

I believe we are seeing a kind of Rope-A-Dope style of politics beginning to emerge right before our eyes.

I have gotten some encouraging Emails from friends who think that Mitch Danials would make a good president.  I agree.  His decision is forthcoming.  He is smart, articulate and comes across very well.

The biggest hit most people have on him is that he is not tall enough.

If that is the only thing “wrong” with him – then he has my vote, hands down.

Please remember, short presidents such as JohnQuincy Adams (5′ 7″), TR (5’8″) and Harry Truman (5′ 9″) all did well in the White House.  And James Madison was just 5′ 4″ tall.

So I figure that Mitch Danials is in pretty good company.  By the way, I could not confirm how tall he actually is.  Does anybody know?  Does anybody really care?

The point is, we have become so accustomed to good looking candidates that we actually look first – and listen second.  It should be the other way around.

Tim Paulenty is a fairly formidable candidate, too.  Nobody has mentioned his height, yet.  It seems that Randy Newman is not the only one who does not like “Short People.”

And then, there is the Rope-A-Dope champion – Jon Hunstman.  I still believe that he will play an integral part in this campaign.

Then we have the ultimate Rope-A-Doper in Jeb Bush.

As much as I like Ron and Rand Paul, and Paul Ryan, they simply cannot win.

Take the combination of Mitch Danials, Tim Paulenty, Jon Huntsman and Jeb Bush, and the GOP might have a real chance of unseating President Obama.

However, if the GOP goes for Mitt Romney as their choice – We The People are screwed again.  And if the Republicans put this man forward, it will be an utter fiasco – not only for America, but for the whole world.

THE POLITICS OF PORK – THE IRS

Does anybody really believe that the laws are made by the people.

Laws are made by Lawmakers – to benefit themselves and their friends.  I know that sounds cynical, but it is the truth.

The biggest con job on the American public happened in 1913 when the FED was established – and the IRS was instituted to fund its billionaires who reside behind the scenes.  Again cynical – but the truth.

If you take the IRS and the way it is set up – the rules change EVERY YEAR – then you start to see how the game is played.

Let’s take just one aspect of how the IRS functions.

The IRS is set up to benefit the rich. Cynical?  I think not.

Example: Bill Gates gives away hundreds of millions of dollars every year to charities – of his choice.  Microsoft (his company) has over $100 BILLION in CASH.

Yet, he is allowed to write off all his charitable donations – and make We The People pick up the tab.

He gets to pick and choose who gets the donations – while the average taxpayer, who cannot afford to have tax write-offs, gets stiffed with the shortfall in tax revenues.

Example: Warren Buffet does the same thing.

Example: Ditto, George Sores.

By the way, all three of the above are in the TOP FIVE RICHEST PEOPLE in America, but yet they all have MASSIVE LEGIONS OF LAWYERS to take every tax break possible that were written for their benifit – and their benifit alone.

Example: General Electric

Why has NOT ONE Liberal contested the fact that this company will pay NO FEDERAL INCOME TAXES for 2010?

Where is the concerted outcry?  I thought it was the damn Republicans that were pulling their pants down and bending over for the rich in this country.  Apparently, I was wrong.

ALL OF THE ABOVE WERE HEAVY SUPPORTERS OF BARACK OBAMA.

But yet, the average person still does not get it.

DOES NOT GET WHAT?

As the old saying goes, “Money is the mother’s milk of politics.”

So, why is no one – not one single politician – proposing to abolish the IRS – dismantle it completely?

Because they are ALL getting their funding from the IRS – via tax write-offs to their various constituencies – around the country.

And as a result, we have the biggest deficit in the history of our Republic.  And it is going to get worse.

I predict that BOTH parties – in the end – will RAISE the debt ceiling, and incur even MORE debt for We The People to pay off.

When I ran for Congress I put forth the idea of doing away with the IRS at a couple of get-togethers –  and was roundly criticized for even “bringing up such an absurd idea.”

Remember, on that fateful morning in 1903, at Kitty Hawk?  All the townspeople were laughing as they went out to watch the Wright Brothers fail in their attempt to fly.

They are not laughing anymore.

The reason people thought they were nuts is because it had never been done before.

The impossible is something that you have yet to attempt.

The abolishment of the MONEY STREAM, in the form of the IRS, is the answer to our problems both here at home – and abroad.

It is time We The People demand that our so-called “representatives” make this their clarion call – for 2012.

Once this movement is started – then we will make headway on our deficit problems.

Not until then.

ONE FINAL NOTE

Does anybody know of a website that can cite and verity any quote – once it is typed in?

For example, where does the quote, “Money is the mother’s milk of politics” come from?

Is there a site that I can type in actual quotes and see who made them and when?  I already know of the “Quote Site” where you type in the person’s name and some quotes that are attributed to them pop up.

The reason I ask is because I was questioned as to a quote I referenced in my last newsletter, that was attributed to Abraham Lincoln, and was informed that I was incorrect.  The person who questioned my reference is very bright in his field – but he could not, with certainty, say I was wrong.  Just that he had never come across it in his studies of the writings of Lincoln.

He had a good point but was unable to categorically say I was incorrect.  Just that he had never seen it before.  He holds a PhD and is a professor of history.

If any reader has an idea or a reference area that we can all use I would certainly appreciate the information.

That is it for now.

Only 541 days until November 6, 2012.

Take care and keep thinking positive.

Larry, it’s my contention that no matter who the Republican’s run for president in 2012, the puppet masters will ultimately determine who will be the next president. Today, the primary and general elections are nothing more than theater for the masses — a modern-day version of the Roman’s bread and circuses. With the electoral college and now computer voting that’s easily manipulated, the outcome has been removed from the voting booth. Today, thanks to computers, the puppet masters can identify the one state that counts and put all the efforts there. The rest don’t matter.

    Hello Larry-
    Abe was also quoted-
“These capitalists generally act harmoniously and in concert, to fleece the people”
I guess some things never change.

Why is it that you, along with the GOP, or the mainstream media do not recognize two great potential candidates: Herman Cain, who won the South Carolina debate hands down; and Lt. Col. Allen West? I understand the reluctance of the GOP – they apparently are more interested in bringing back the RINO’s and re-runs. I read the comments following the Newt e-mail today and out of 82 there were 82 against him. If you read conservative blogs, Larry, you will discover that a majority of comments suggest the two names I mentioned above. In order to win this election the candidate must have a commanding personality; great speaker (both Cain and West are) knowledgable with good resumes, no baggage and minus the RINO tag. You mention Daniels, good man; Pawlenty, et al – but I don’t think they have the charisma that its going to take this time around to win. Soros is pouring money in to Obama’s coffers – he controls the networks and CNN due to his contributions the same as he has done with NPR. The last issue of The Whistleblower magazine (a publication every conservative should read) outlines the steps and the strategies the leftist have for stealing the 2012 election as well as ACORN involvement. The Democrats denigrated Bush repeatedly so when Obama came out with “Hope and Change” which became a mantra, people voted for him. Republicans had better find a candidate that can do the same. Both Romney (who is not an inspiring speaker and Newt (with considerable baggage) should drop out. Hopefully the GOP backroom deals will listen to the people this time around.

Ho Hum…..Oh, excuse me for napping during your sermon!! It seems I’ve heard this type conversation before and it gets tired of listening to the same tune. Hummmm, maybe there is something new here, but I just couldn’t see or hear it for sure.

Oh, maybe it’s the fact that we are trying to elect a president or just trying to say, is there anyone out there worth running? I guess it will all come out in the mix of bull, if we can only see what is the difference between the BS and the real wisdom of it all.

Thanks Larry for repeating the history lesson, is anyone listening?

I just clicked on the “submit comment” and the message says “waiting for moderation”. I thought this was freedom of speech to comment; what the heck is “waiting for moderation” have to do with freedom of responding to open comments to this blog?

Ron Paul attempted to put forth a bill to abolish the federal reserve. He also sponsored a bill to audit the Federal Reserve, guess how far both got (to my knowledge) not even out of committee!! I believe this is part of the reason he is portrayed as an “extremist” and made out to be a laughingstock by the media. I think he is the only real candidate that would envoke real change for the people. Obama brought us change all right, except it’s a currency none of us recognize and it surely wasn’t the change he was talking about!!

    Hello Larry-

    Looks like its Lincoln week.
In case you missed today’s performance at the State Department, Obama issued his ‘Emancipation Proclamation’ for the entire Middle East.
I really did fall out of my Lazy Boy when he proclaimed that ‘the City of Benghazi was facing destruction’.
    What a laugh.
He obviously has never been to Detroit.
I certainly don’t mean to sound racist here, but if I wrap a towel around my head, would that make my company eligible for the ‘Economic Fund’ he and Congress are working on for those poor distressed “middle east entepreneurs” ?
But I do feel sorry for those ‘well educated young people’ over there that just can’t seem to find a job.
We should accelerate our ‘Job Export Program’ in order to give them a hand up. Maybe even send over some Teamsters or SEIU people.
Osama Bin must be doing backflips in his watery crypt over this speech.
But he who laughs last, laughs best.
    Wonder who that will be?

  • Ray Radke Says:

I suppose you are referring to your quote “You can fool all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time” and I too thought it came from Lincoln. Seems to me from a speech when he was running for the house.

  • Michael Kruse Says:

Sorry, Larry, I don’t know such a website; but if you haven’t tried it, it’s worth typing the quote in the Google searchbox and seeing if Google produces a site attributing a source to it. I’ve managed to nail down several quotes using this method.
