No. 50 – August 14, 2010

GROUND ZERO

I won’t go into this in detail, simply because the news has covered it so much that I am tired of hearing about it.

All I will add is that the Mosque in question should not be built at the proposed site.

I have done a lot of reading lately about the concept of Islam as a “religion” and have come to the “uneducated” conclusion that Islam is more of a cult, than a bona fide religion.

1. bona fide (adjective): made, done, presented, etc., in good faith; without deception or fraud: a bona fide statement of intent to sell.

The keys in this definition are “in good faith” and “without deception or fraud” and that is where Islam fails to meet the accepted standards of any religion.

However, if I am wrong, please show me in the most up-to-date, authorized copy of the Quran/Koran where it tells its followers NOT to convert – or to kill – the “non-believers” and I will amend my statement.

In my humble opinion, any religion that has – in part, or parcel – the commandment to KILL others who do not adhere to their particular faith, is not a religion, but indeed a cult.

Jim Jones and his Jonestown Massacre come immediately to mind.

A simple quote as to this NOT being the bottom-line aim of the Quran/Koran is all I ask.

And as for this nation being anywhere near Sharia Law compliant, I could not find it referred to, even once, in the whole of the United States Constitution.

America is NOT Sharia Law compliant – thank God.

Anybody who thinks it should be might want to consider what those laws really are.  Any woman in her right mind would cringe at what is stated with regard to the female species in the Quran/Koran.

Why women’s rights groups all over the WORLD are not complaining is beyond me.

Read what those laws really are – and then tell me if you wish to believe in Islam.

As for me, Sharia Law compliance can go – straight to Hell.

RACE – AND THE RACE CARD

For this, too, I apologize.  I stated very early in this election cycle that race would be brought up, and that the Republicans would be painted as racists in the whole debate leading up to the November elections.

However, I had no idea that it would be this important so far.

With that in mind, I would like to quote Thomas Sowell in a recent article sent to me by, Big Bob, in Japan, entitled Bean-Counters and Baloney, in which Dr.Sowell states:

“The time is long overdue to throw this race card out of the deck and start seeing it for the gross fallacy that it is.”

So let’s set things straight, in plain and simple terms.

If George Bush is to be blamed for everything that is wrong with this country, as the Democrats have, time and again stated, I will accept that fact – because he was President at the time when a lot of our current problems began.

Bush was in office as President – so he takes the blame.

Lincoln was in office when the slaves were freed – so Lincoln gets the credit here.  Please don’t give me any other excuse.

Bush was in office – he gets the blame.

Lincoln was in office – he gets the credit.

What’s good for the goose is good for the pig – lipstick and all.

When Lyndon Johnson was hard-pressed to get his Civil Rights Act passed, the DEMOCRATS were balking every step of the way.  This, however, is NOT taught in public schools.

Johnson finally had to go to the REPUBLICANS and ask for their support to pass the Act – because the DEMOCRATS wanted no part of it.

The DEMOCRATS were the racist party.

With the REPUBLICANS in support of Johnson, the Civil Rights Act was passed.  This, too, is NOT taught in public schools.

But yet, Americans of African ancestry are mainly, registered DEMOCRATS.

How can this be?

A Republican President freed the slaves and Republicans were needed to pass the Civil Rights Act, when the Democrats were stonewalling in Congress.

Please remember, the South has been run by the Democratic Party for over 100 years – and the South is still the poorest section of the entire country.

And many of those poor areas are mainly inhabited by Americans of African ancestry.

Remember George Wallace?  Lester Maddox?

Both arch-segregationists.  Both Democrats.

Then we have Robert Byrd – a past KKK member, and a high- ranking one at that.  Another Democrat.

The real reason for this political conundrum is that when Americans of African ancestry were originally registered to vote – with the help of Democratic poll workers – they were “encouraged” to register as Democrats.

Why did they never bother to change their party affiliation?

Probably because of the same reason most people don’t change – it is somewhat of a family tradition.

But now it is time to put the cards on the table – and for everybody to wake up.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

Just this.

Republicans are traditionally a party of small government and low taxes.

Democrats are traditionally a party of big government and high taxes.

These points have been made over and over.

But if the Democrats are really for big government – and in essence here to “help the people” – then why are Americans of African ancestry, STILL living in Ghettos all across America?

It is because they have been sold the biggest slab of baloney in the history of politics.

“Vote for us Democrats and we will TAKE CARE of you.”

That has been the mantra of the Democrats for as far back as I can remember.

And THAT is what I am talking about – and the point in which nobody is willing to address.

Republicans WANT Americans – all across the racial spectrum – to take care of THEMSELVES.

I have seen the Democrats play this game ever since I was a child.

Sam Yorty, mayor of Los Angeles used race all the time.  A Democrat.

Tom Bradley, the first black mayor of Los Angeles, and a man I still admire, at times played the race card.  A Democrat.

Yet we STILL have Watts and South Central – not to mention Skid Row.  And yes, there really is a Skid Row in LA.

The Republicans want people off welfare rolls.  Not just Americans of African ancestry – but all Americans, regardless of race, creed or color.

Why?

Because they have to PAY for this type of Big Government through higher and higher taxes.

I realize that Democrats pay taxes, too.  But Democrats still don’t seem to get the idea of providing for YOURSELF.

It is called SELF-RESPONSIBILITY.

To a person, Democrats want to “help” the under-privileged and the down-trodden.

Ask them, and they will tell you this, without blinking an eye.

But the old Asian proverb best describes this approach:

“Feed a man a fish and you feed him for a day.  Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”

And therein lies the rub.

Most “minority” groups have been fed this line, time and again, but they still remain – for the most part – in the ECONOMIC MINORITY, too.

One question for all readers to ponder:

What ethnic group has the largest number of poor people within its ranks?

If you guessed any other group, other than white people, you are wrong.

This fact is NEVER taught in public schools, either.  I wonder why?

NEW REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES – CHANGE YOUR APPROACH

All New Republican candidates should change their approach with regard to ALL minorities – both ethnic and economic.

Appeal to those who have been trained to think that the government will take care of them.

Ask them why we still have ghettos ALL ACROSS AMERICA?

Tell them the hard facts of life.

RICH PEOPLE DO NOT LIVE IN GHETTOS!

And the majority of rich people work for themselves.

And THAT is the secret of helping yourself – working for yourself.

How hard is it – be you a Democrat or Republican Mayor – to actually draw a target area on the map – and completley wipe out the poverty stricken area?

It is NOT that hard – if you really want to do it.

But do it with local, small business people – not the government.

Business knows business best.

And if you think this is “pie-in-the-sky” thinking, then all I ask you is, who built the Mall of America?

Who built all the baseball and football stadiums across this great country of ours?

Target an area, get business involved – and then, get down to business.

It can be done – but WE THE PEOPLE are the ones who are going to have to do it.

Not the Government.

UPCOMING PRIMARIES – AND NOVEMBER 2010

I urge all voters to take a hard look at all the candidates that are running for office – both Democrat and Republican.

Vote for the person who has had continued SUCCESSFUL business experience.

In the great State of Washington, I reiterate my full support for Paul Akers.  He is SELF-MADE.  He is successful. And Paul Akers is, in my opinion, a New Republican.

He is part of, WE THE PEOPLE.

Paul Akers is capable of beating Patty Murray in November 2010.  Dino Rossi is not.

A vote for Paul is a vote for common-sense, Conservative values.

Also, in Georgia’s Primary, my brother David, was part of the successful candidacy of Rob Woodall, another common-sense, Conservative, that looks to be elected to the 7th Congressional Seat in November 2010.

Congratulations to Paul and my little brother!

There are other primaries still to come, so if you have not done so already, make sure you are registered – and be sure to vote.

A WORD TO THE WISE

I know, I have pounded on this before – but I will say it once again.

If you are hoping for a Republican victory in November, PLEASE don’t fall for the next trap that the Democrats are going to throw at the Republicans – Homosexuals and Abortion.

I can already see the race card starting to diminish in this election – but the “Gay Rights” issue and that of Abortion are just now starting to come to the fore.

Don’t be fooled by this kind of ploy.  Homosexual rights and Abortion are not things the Federal Government should be involved with.

I know a lot of readers feel differently about this, but if these two subjects are dangled in front of Republican candidates – especially any “ultra” Conservative candidates – they will take the bait and, by association, injure the whole party in the process.

One final caution to all Republican candidates.

WE THE PEOPLE – STILL DO NOT TRUST YOU.

You deceived us in the past.  If you do it again, that will be the last time.

If the Republicans are elected, and can turn the tables in the way of the House and Senate – which I believe they can now do – they had better produce lasting, common-sense results.

For if the Republicans fail again – a NEW PARTY will be in the making.

REMEMBER – NOVEMBER!  80 Days until REAL CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN!  I continue to “HOPE.”

That is it for now.

Wheww!! Never heard the term “Sharia Law”. After looking it up on the Internet, what I read says this is not a religion, but a guide to live ones life. But it certainly is very one-sided and not fare to all. It has many different ideas and does not stick to a single or good stream of life. Glad we are not in that mold!!

Republicans or Democrats or any party. Why do we need them? they seem to form a plan and not work for “we the people”.

The Congress is supposed to be the for the people, represent the people and work for the people.

The President is the one who manages the Administration of Government. Does this really work today?

Why do we send FREE stuff to help diastors around the world and not the same for our own nation?

Why do we pay high prices for pills but they sell the same in other countries for a reasonable price?

Why does government cut workers, their pay, school funds, medical funds, and like items but never take a pay cut themselves.

People came originally to America to exscape religious predjudice and freedom to have their religion; But the forefathers were very pointed to separate church and state. Islam does not!! Will our govenment maintain that concept?

But yet you warn Republicans we don’t trust them. I say we cannot trust any candidate what they will do once elected. I say the President should not be limited to terms, unless all candidates have some term limits. The frist term of the President is to maintain high priase to get elected again, then the office becomes a “lame duck” becuase he does not have to please no one and it becomes a big political move to impress and discredit so a party can get elected on the next term.

Maybe after the end of a term limit, the public should (all US public) say if the candidate is accepted to run for a third and succesive terms; if the public says no, then that person can not run for that office again.

This way we at least we all have a method to oust some candidates others voted for that the entire public says no at the end of their term limit.

When you going to run for President Mr. Klepinger?

    1) >However, if I am wrong, please show me in the most up-to-date, authorized copy of the Quran/Koran where it tells its followers NOT to convert – or to kill – the “non-believers” and I will amend my statement.

How much time do you have Larry? All of the following come from the Quran (not from the Hadith or any lesser source). The numbers give the surah (chapter) and verse number.

2:256 There is no compulsion in religion, for the right way is clearly from the wrong way. Whoever therefore rejects the forces of evil and believes in God, he has taken hold of a support most unfailing, which shall never give way, for God is All Hearing and Knowing.
16:82 But if they turn away from you, your only duty is a clear delivery of the Message entrusted to you.
6:107 Yet if God had so willed, they would not have ascribed Divinity to aught besides him; hence, We have not made you their keeper, nor are you a guardian over them.
4:79, 80 Say to everyone of them, ‘Whatever good betides you is from God and whatever evil betides you is from your own self and that We have (O Prophet) sent you to mankind only as a messenger and all sufficing is God as witness. Whoso obeys the Messenger, he indeed obeys God. And for those who turn away, We have not sent you as a keeper.
11:28 Noah to his people said “O my people! think over it! If I act upon a clear direction from my Lord who has bestowed on me from Himself the Merciful talent of seeing the right way, a way which you cannot see for yourself, does it follow that we can force you to take the right path when you definitely decline to take it?
17:53, 54 And tell my servants that they should speak in a most kindly manner unto those who do not share their beliefs. Verily, Satan is always ready to stir up discord between men; for verily; Satan is mans foe …. Hence, We have not sent you (Unto men O Prophet) with power to determine their Faith.
21:107 to 109 (O Prophet?) ‘We have not sent you except to be a mercy to all mankind:” Declare, “Verily, what is revealed to me is this, your God is the only One God, so is it not up to you to bow down to Him?’ But if they turn away then say, “I have delivered the Truth in a manner clear to one and all, and I know not whether the promised hour of Judgment is near or far.”
22:67 To every people have We appointed ceremonial rites which they observe; therefore, let them not wrangle over this matter with you, but bid them to turn to your Lord. You indeed are rightly guided. But if they still dispute you in this matter, then say, `God best knows the value of what you do.”
88:21, 22; also see 24:54 And so, (O Prophet!) exhort them your task is only to exhort; you cannot compel them to believe.
48:28 He it is Who has sent forth His Messenger with the task of spreading Guidance and the Religion of Truth, to the end that tie make it prevail over every false religion, and none can bear witness to the Truth as God does.
36:16, 17 Three Messengers to their people said, “Our Sustainer knows that we have indeed been sent unto you, but we are not bound to more than clearly deliver the Message entrusted to us.’
39:41 Assuredly, We have sent down the Book to you in right form for the good of man. Whoso guided himself by it does so to his own advantage, and whoso turns away from it does so at his own loss. You certainly are not their keeper.
42:6, 48 And whoso takes for patrons others besides God, over them does God keep a watch. Mark, you are not a keeper over them. But if they turn aside from you do not get disheartened, for We have not sent you to be a keeper over them; your task is but to preach ….
64:12 Obey God then and obey the Messenger, but if you turn away no blame shall attach to our Messenger, for the duty of Our Messenger is just to deliver the message.
67:25, 26 And they ask, “When shall the promise be fulfilled if you speak the Truth?” Say, “The knowledge of it is verily with God alone, and verily I am but a plain warner.”
60:8 Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for your Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for Allah loveth those who are just.
60:9 Allah only forbids you, with regard to those who fight you for your Faith, and drive you out of your homes, and support others in driving you out, from turning to them for friendship and protection. It is such as turn to them in these circumstances that do wrong.

Bored yet? Believe it or not, there are more.

    2) >In my humble opinion, any religion that has – in part, or parcel – >the commandment to KILL others who do not adhere to their >particular faith, is not a religion, but indeed a cult. Jim Jones and >his Jonestown Massacre come immediately to mind.

Er, Larry, Jim Jones exhorted cult members to kill themselves, not non-believers.

    3) >America is NOT Sharia Law compliant – thank God.

Neither are many Muslim countries… So why should America be?

    4) GROUND ZERO. To the best of my knowledge, there has been no proposal by anyone to build a mosque anywhere near Ground Zero; because Ground Zero, as any fule kno, properly refers to the atomic detonations at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. How grotesquely typical it is of American hubris that the term has been expropriated from (most conservatively) 100,000 victims of American butchery (this does not count the injured who died later nor the radiation victims nor subsequent generations; just those killed in the blast) to 3,500 American victims of terrorism, which means that 1 American death is worth at least 28 Japanese.

I think the idea of building a mosque so near the site of the WTC is frankly tasteless and ill-advised, but not as tasteless as the American media’s expropriation of “Ground Zero”. I wonder when we will all start having to refer to the events of 9/11 as the “American Holocaust”?
